Little Chair

I have to say that I don't buy furniture on-line and this is an example of why I wish I hadn't. The Chair was a beautiful color and print, however I was very disappointed at the overall size of this chair. I actually thought it was for an older child when I sat in it and the legs are plastic. If this same print and color had been on a larger quality chair, I would have given it a 5 star.

a great experience

My husband and I decided to send a chair to our son and daughter-in-law for a Christmas gift. We had never purchased furniture from Amazon before but decided to give it a try. Our experience was very satisfactory. Selection on-line was easy and we liked what we chose. However we were a little nervous about payment,since we were sending the chair to Virginia and we live just outside Toronto, Canada. We had no trouble at all. The chair was reasonably priced and we paid the specificed price with only the additional amount for exchange. In addition the delivery was free which we were very pleased about. As for the delivery we were able to choose both the day and a window of time in the day for arrival. Since we wanted to ensure that the gift arrived in time for Christmas we were a bit concerned but we needn't have been as all went exactly as promised. All in all the whole process was great and the gift was a big success. I would make a similar purchase again in a heartbeat.Nancy DyerMarkham, Ontario, Canada

Large and Sturdy; Great for secondary seating

We purchased two of the red ("rust") chairs about 10 months ago.The company delivering them was fantastic. Personal service, friendly as can be. It was a little mystifying - I'm used to normal UPS and Fed Ex service (friendly drivers but impersonal company).The chairs themselves arrived Mostly Assembled. The seat and arms are already attached so all you need to do is screw the wooden legs on, flip it upright and slide the back into place. The chairs are heavy enough that some folks might want a hand with the flipping them upright and moving them about but the assembly itself is easy peasy. When I first put them together I was a little put off by the fact that the seat back is rounded (convex) but the seat cushion is squared off. The result were some pretty noticeable gaps on either side where the back curved away. Now, though, there are no gaps to speak of. I'm not at all sure when the two molded to each other.We are both overweight so furniture sturdiness is a huge concern; These chairs are shockingly sturdy. Impressive.The chair's look is a little bit off. I can't pinpoint exactly why but you'd never look at it and mistake it for a luxury item. (Perhaps the other materials come across better than chenille does, but I imagine they still don't look like luxury items.) That said I've grew to love the chairs in a remarkably short amount of time. For starters they they are QUITE roomy. The seat is 21" across. The seat cushion is super firm. When you first sit down your brain begins to adjust to the fact that the chair is HARD (a surprise since it does not look like it is), but it never actually feels hard...just firm. You can sit in it for quite a while without sinking into it (and getting trapped). I find the back is too far back (the seat is also 21 or so inches deep) so need to toss throw pillows back there, but my husband loves how roomy it all is. The chairs color was not quite what I expected from the picture but, while little disappointing, that was not altogether unexpected. Digital images shift on every computer set up. (I'm still a bit confused where they came up with "rust" for the color.)I'm a major slumber and sloucher; These chairs are not for lounging (a teen could drape themselves over the thing sideways, I suppose). We bought them to create a seating area in our study - an alternative to sitting at the desks. They are perfect for that. We even hang out more than originally intended and read or watch a bit of TV. But these are definitely not for lounging about.
